1872-1874: Rev. Rasmus Anderson of Waupaca made the long trip by horse and buggy for monthly services on a salary of $100 a year
1874-1880: Rev Niels Thomsen, from Indianapolis, Indiana, became the first resident pastor with an annual salary of $400.
1881-1887: Pastor Helvig was called to service and received $400 annually.
Sold the church lot on Torrey St for $250 and bought one on Isabella St for $300.
The church was moved to the new spot and paid for entirely by H.B. Lund, who paid the expensive move in exchange for never having to pay the church offerings again.
1887-1889: Rev. A. S. Hansen was called to service and paid the usual sum of $400 annually due to the church’s low budget at the time.
1889-1896: Pastor Jens N. Jersild was called to service.
He started the Jersild Knitting Company in order to support for his family.
